Dear RSH Web Services Client,
We are extremely pleased to announce the installation of Open Web Mail on ALL Servers. Open Web Mail is an open source, web-based email client
that takes up where Neomail left off. It provides scores of new features, including full support for HTML and text email, both sending and receiving.
It has every good feature of Neomail, including the original look and feel, plus so much more.
You can access Open Web Mail from any of your domains simply by
browsing to http://yourdomain.com/openwebmail/
We suggest that you do not use the "www" canonical to your domain when accessing Open Web Mail as it derives the "From" email address from the host
domain your are browsing to. However, it is easy to setup multiple "From" email addresses with different domains for each user in the configuration section of Open Web Mail and even if you do use the 'www' canonical to your
domain, Open Web Mail will still function normally.
Open Web Mail is fully documented and comes with an online manual that is accessible via the Open Web Mail login page and all internal pages.
Because Open Web Mail is such a complete replacement of and upgrade to
Neomail, it is our intention to remove Neomail from all servers within the next thirty days. At that time, we will be modifying the "postoffice" link
currently associated with the hard-installation of Neomail with a symbolic link to the "openwebmail" link. Therefore, your existing users will have seamless access even when using the old "postoffice" link. However, please
note that the new symbolic link will only be placed in service after Neomail has been de-provisioned from the servers -- thus allowing the next few weeks for users to become accustomed to Open Web Mail while still having
access to Neomail through currently enabled vhosts.
Sincerely, Development Department RSH Web Services
