Best Practices Before and After Installation

  • Back up your WHMCS database and files before installing, removing or making major changes to third-party modules.
  • Review your existing knowledge base categories before importing new content.
  • Customize article wording, screenshots and branding so the instructions match the services and interface your customers actually use.
  • Test article links, images and instructions after making custom changes.
  • Keep a backup of customized articles before deactivating this module because deactivation removes its imported articles and categories.
  • Periodically review tutorials as cPanel, WordPress, Softaculous, FTP clients and your own hosting environment change.
