Faveo HELPDESK Hosting Services
Domain Names free with all Hosting accounts
Faveo Helpdesk Community Edition is an open-source, Laravel-based ticket system. Customers open requests from a web form or linked mailbox. Agents assign work, apply SLA and priority rules, send auto-replies, and publish knowledge-base articles from one portal.
Softaculous installs the Community package (version 2.0.3). That edition is free under the Open Software License 3.0 and does not require a Faveo license key. White-label branding, WhatsApp, and other omnichannel add-ons belong to paid Faveo editions, not to the Softaculous community build.
Who Faveo Community is for
Startups, SMEs, and internal teams that need a self-hosted ticket queue, customer portal, and knowledge base. Choose a paid Faveo edition if you need licensed support, white-label removal of Faveo branding, WhatsApp, or other paid channels.

Choose the Hosting Plan That's Right for You
Match storage and mailboxes to ticket volume, attachments, knowledge-base media, and backup copies. A small internal desk can start modestly. Busy public portals with file uploads and heavy email import need more disk and room for restores.
Finding the right web hosting plan is easy with our transparent pricing and flexible upgrade options. Compare the plans below to select the best fit for your website, with custom hosting packages available for larger or specialized projects.

Installing Faveo Helpdesk
RSH Web Services offers Faveo Helpdesk installation through Softaculous in cPanel. Use this method first. It creates the Community Edition files, database, and administrator account. No Faveo license code is required for Community. RSH Web Services can help with installation.
For manual installation, download a trusted Community 2.0.x package, create a least-privilege MySQL user, point the web root at Faveo’s public directory if the package uses one, set Laravel storage permissions, and complete the installer. Configure mail, cron or queue workers, departments, agent roles, and the knowledge base before inviting customers.
Hosting requirements
Community 2.0 targets a modern Laravel stack. Faveo’s current install docs list PHP 8.1+ (some guides cite PHP 8.4), MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.6, and extensions such as curl, gd, mbstring, openssl, pdo_mysql, tokenizer, and zip. Newer full-stack guides also mention Redis and Supervisor, which shared hosting may not provide. Confirm the exact PHP version on your account and test mail plus scheduled tasks before launch.
Migrating or upgrading Faveo Helpdesk
Start with cPanel backups of every Faveo file and a full database export. For a Softaculous-managed install, use only the backup, clone, restore, or upgrade controls shown for Faveo Helpdesk before manual work. Softaculous updates that Faveo package. It does not convert osTicket, HESK, or another desk into Faveo, and it does not turn Community into a paid edition.
Move matching files and database together, update environment values, and test login, ticket create, email import, assignment, SLA, knowledge base, and attachments. Paid Faveo upgrades use a license key from the Faveo billing portal; Community does not. Never mix files and a database from different versions.
Faveo Helpdesk security
Tickets hold names, mailboxes, and attachments. Use HTTPS, unique administrator credentials, least-privilege agent roles, and restricted upload types. Remove unused accounts. Hosting firewall and DDoS controls protect the server; they do not replace application updates. Because Softaculous ships 2.0.3, review Faveo security notices and test upgrades in staging before changing a live queue.
Backups and recovery
Back up the Faveo database and all application files, including configuration, storage, uploaded attachments, knowledge-base media, and local changes. Keep several dated restore points and one copy outside the account. Create a fresh backup before upgrades or imports. Restore privately and verify tickets, users, articles, mail, and permissions.
Hosting stack includes NGINX, HTTP/2, PHP, a CDN, firewall security, DDoS protection, and SSD storage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Softaculous Faveo install the paid Enterprise edition?
No. Softaculous installs Faveo Helpdesk Community Edition 2.0.3. Community is free, open source, and does not use a license key. White-label branding, WhatsApp, and other omnichannel tools are sold in paid Faveo plans. Buy those licenses from Faveo if you need them; Softaculous will not convert Community into Enterprise.
Is Faveo Community suitable for a new production help desk?
Only after you test 2.0.3 on the PHP and database versions on your account. The package dates to October 2023, and Faveo’s security table has listed 2.0.3 as unsupported. It can still serve an existing or low-risk queue. A currently maintained build is safer for a new desk that stores customer mail and attachments.
Does Community include unlimited agents?
Community is the free self-hosted edition. Agent limits and extras such as Freelancer’s two-agent enterprise feature set are defined by Faveo’s current edition comparison, not by hosting. Check Faveo’s comparison chart for the edition you install before promising unlimited paid-edition features.
Can customers track tickets without a staff account?
Yes. Community includes a customer portal so requesters can check status and read knowledge-base articles. Test registration, ticket view, and article search with a non-admin account before launch.
How do email tickets get into Faveo?
Faveo can turn mail from an assigned support address into tickets and send auto-replies. Configure the mailbox, cron or queue worker, and department routing. Test delivery both ways. A stopped scheduled task or rejected sender is a common cause of missing tickets.
How should I test Faveo before real customers write in?
Use staging. Open tickets from the web form and from email. Check agent roles, assignment, SLA, attachments, knowledge-base search, and mobile layouts. Confirm PHP extensions, then restore a backup to a second location. Loading the login page is not a full test.
How much hosting storage does Faveo need?
Softaculous lists about 276 MB for the package. Live use grows with attachments, article media, logs, and backups. Estimate agents and uploads, then leave room for restore copies. Watch disk, inodes, and database size after launch.
Can notices come from my domain?
Yes, when Faveo’s mail settings use an address on your domain. Use a dedicated sender, protect its password, test several providers, and add the DNS records your mail service requires. Watch bounces before a large outbound notice.
What should I back up before a Faveo update?
Copy the database plus application files, storage, attachments, and local changes. On Softaculous, use the Faveo Helpdesk backup control first. Restore that pair privately and check tickets, articles, and mail before you update the live desk.
