cPanel - Softaculous - Script Ratings and Reviews

Use the ratings and reviews area to compare user feedback about scripts listed in Softaculous. Treat ratings as one research signal rather than a substitute for checking the developer’s documentation, requirements, release activity, and licensing.

Check Ratings and Reviews submitted by fellow users to choose the app that fits your needs. Ratings show a score. Reviews add comments. Use both with a script demo and the official project notes before you install anything on a live domain.

Before You Begin

You need access to the Softaculous Enduser panel to view the available feedback. Review several comments and check the official project source before choosing software for production.

Expected result: The ratings window or reviews tab should open for the selected script. A submitted rating or review should appear after Softaculous accepts the form. If the window does not open, check pop-up blocking and try the script page again.

How to Use Feedback

Read Several Reviews

One high or low score is not enough. Look for repeated comments about setup, support, or missing features.

Open a Demo

Compare the comments with a live preview before you install. See the script demos guide.

Check Requirements

Confirm PHP, database, license, and maintenance notes on the script page. Ratings do not replace those checks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What access do I need?

You generally need access to the hosting control panel and the Softaculous Enduser panel. Viewing ratings does not require an existing installation. See the Softaculous Apps Installer guide if you need the panel location. If a control is missing, check the account permissions and server policy before assuming the interface is malfunctioning.

Why is the option not visible?

Softaculous shows tools according to the script, installation state, server configuration, and administrator permissions. Some hosts hide catalog extras. Confirm the star icon at the top of the Enduser panel and the Ratings or Reviews tab on the script page. Related catalog tools are listed in the Softaculous tutorial index.

How can I confirm the task completed?

A rating or review is complete when Softaculous accepts the form and the new entry appears on the script page. That is not an installation. After you later install a script, confirm it in the All Installations list.

What should I do after an error?

If the ratings window is blocked, allow pop-ups for the Softaculous panel and try again. Record the script name and any form error. Do not treat a failed review submit as a failed install. Other Softaculous jobs are listed in the task list.

Can a cPanel user perform every action?

No. Access depends on the hosting plan, server policy, Softaculous permissions, and the application’s own user roles. Viewing ratings is usually available to the account that can open Softaculous. Installing the chosen script still follows the steps in Installing A Script.

Do I need a backup first?

No backup is required to view or submit ratings and reviews. Create a current backup before a later task that changes files, database content, domains, themes, plugins, settings, or installation records. Use the Softaculous backup guide after the application exists on the account.

Where can I learn more?

Use the official Softaculous Enduser Documentation linked on this page for current menu names and feature availability. For WordPress behavior after install, use the WordPress tutorial index or the developer’s official documentation. Interfaces change over time, so an older screenshot may not match every current hosting account.

Can RSH Web Services perform the task for me?

The tutorial explains a customer-managed Softaculous workflow. Whether assistance is available depends on the service and support arrangement associated with the hosting account. Use Contact Us before sharing credentials or requesting a change, and identify the exact domain, installation, and operation that needs attention.
